Born in the City of Angels, Los Angeles, W Wayne was introduced to life in the projects of
Nickerson Gardens in South Central Los Angeles, known to the residents as Watts.  W
Wayne at an early age possessed the knack to make people laugh.  He would earn dollars
from family members every Friday and Saturday evening when they requested he imitate,
dance, or mime.  That’s when it hit W Wayne that people will pay him to make them laugh!

An only child W Wayne learned at an early age to use this talent to his advantage.  He
would avoid fights by making bullies laugh at his jokes.  A product of Los Angeles public
school systems until middle school, his high school years were spent attending Catholic
school.  This was the period where W Wayne seemed to be a constant visitor in the
principal’s office.  The fact he was a star athlete kept him out of trouble with his teachers
and principal.  W Wayne was the star of the Drama Club, as well as a star basketball,
football player. He recalls one incident when a teacher laughing uncontrollable ordered him
to the principal’s office.  After informing the principal the event that sent him there, the
principal laughed as well and sent him back to class.

After graduation, W Wayne migrated to Louisiana where he attended and graduated from
Northwestern State University.  A member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, W Wayne was
chronicled by his impersonation of Bill Cosby.  During his stay in Louisiana, W Wayne
coached the youth in basketball, baseball, and football.  W Wayne was and is still
dedicated to giving back to the community and working with the youth.

W Wayne returned home to Los Angeles upon receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in
Computer Information Systems.  He resumed his training in acting by attending classes
with Mack Entertainment.  Hungry and passionate for his dream, he further pursued
extensive training with KC Theatre Arts School, a well-known acting school in Hollywood,
California.  Currently, W Wayne receives private acting lessons from the dynamic Judyann
Elder of Sherman Oaks, California.

Recently, W Wayne received accolades for his sterling rendition of Dr. King’s “I Have A
Dream” speech at Los Angeles International Airport to kick off Black History Month at the
world-renowned airport.  Also, his opening comedy routine for nationally known
motivational speaker, Jewel Diamond-Taylor received rave reviews in the local
neighborhood newspaper. W Wayne is an active member of the nonprofit organization, “
A
Father Forever.” W Wayne is very grateful for the gift the Creator of the universe has
blessed him with, simply to make people laugh and feel good.  W Wayne states, “When I
come in contact with someone who is down, unhappy and sad, and I’m able to make them
laugh, I feel like I hit the lotto!”
